Yes, reading beyond paragraph 3 may contain spoilers, but this review is one of the longest on the entire blog (the only ones that compare are the Annotated Lolita--which contains significant digressions, the Ulysses--oh and the Death in Venice one), but I certainly appreciate your interest....I do agree with your point about Siddhartha but it is also a good primer for buddhism if one knows nothing about it.JKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16199023801433187878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3851264164198134050.post-65565396345111475092010-09-22T01:04:32.621-04:002010-09-22T01:04:32.621-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Rajeeshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06792257778941365180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3851264164198134050.post-21157195031352732022010-09-22T01:03:55.614-04:002010-09-22T01:03:55.614-04:00I was searching for some reviews about Mann's ...I was searching for some reviews about Mann's Magic Mountain when I stumbled on this blog. Since I felt that you are going to explain the plot in detail I didn't read beyond the third paragraph (I have started reading the book and obviously I do not want to lose the fun of reading it myself). And then I started browsing your other reviews. I found a lot of common interests. Especially Hesse. And I find that you have enjoyed Siddhartha. Don't you think that a deeper knowledge of Buddhism is essentially required to appreciate Siddhartha the way it should be appreciated? Will keep reading your other posts (and your novel as well).Rajeeshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06792257778941365180noreply@blogger.com
